About Us

Our brand, our story,

We have our children to thank for 25 wonderful years of friendship since first meeting at the school gates.  As young mums time for ourselves was precious, we both have a creative nature and decided to start making jewellery, just for fun.  To our complete suprise, friends and family alike loved it and were soon asking us to design for them.  In the early years we worked mainly with freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones so we called ourselves Baroque Designs as a clear reflection of our style.

As the years moved on so did our ideas.  Children left home giving us more time to devote to our ever growing business and, as we both love silver, we decided to develop our ideas in this direction so with great excitement we went 'back to school' to retrain.  Expert tuition followed, we enjoyed learning new techniques as our ideas ebbed and flowed and over time we gradually aquired the skills and tools to grow our workshops at home.

We soon realised that a new name was needed to be more in keeping with our increasingly contemporary designs.  After much deliberation we chose Darcy & Wolf - Darcy from Sue's puppy and Wolf from a Portuguese name in Liz's family.

These days we love working with a vaiety of materials including silver, crystal, glass, pearl and ceramic.  Since we make to order, anything in silver can also be commissioned in gold, platinum, copper, bronze or other metal.

Our inspiration still comes from many sources: a trip to the beach, a walk in the woods, a darkening sky or the rolling hills of the moors and dales.  As a result, natural organic shapes and animal themes are a regular feature of our work.

We hope you enjoy our website, thank you for browsing and for taking the time to read our story.
